Raila Odinga sarcastically told Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa that she's 'free to eat elsewhere but return home in 2022' it has been revealed.
For the first time in as many months, the duo have not met with Jumwa opting to back Deputy President William Ruto's bid.
"It was a funny occasion and Raila just told her to eat in the other camp but return home when the right time comes," Borabu MP Ben Momanyi has confirmed.
Jumwa has been integral in DP Ruto's coastal campaigns, precipitating summons by the ODM party which subsequently recommended her ejection.
And at parliament, Raila is also said to have insisted that he was not interested in having Jumwa kicked out of the party contrary to media reports.
"He also said that he's disinterested in having her kicked out of the ODM party. It was more of a reunion," added the Wiper MP.
Last month, ODM disciplinary committee recommended ejection of Jumwa and the latest goodwill from Raila shows that she'll after all survive.
Besides Jumwa, Coastal PG Secretary General Suleiman Dori also risks being expelled by the party following the recommendation.
