All roads in Kisumu are expected to lead to the Moi Stadium on Wednesday afternoon for a Kenya Premier League (KPL) match featuring defending Champions Gor Mahia against Posta Rangers.

The match which will be the first one for Gor Mahia in Kisumu in 2019 will kick off at 4 PM.

Former National Soccer Team Harambee Stars Captain Dennis Oguta Oliech is expected to be the main centre of attraction during the match, with the defending league Champions enjoying a near fanatical following in Kisumu.

Oliech joined Gor Mahia recently on a 2-year deal. He made his debut for Kogallo on Sunday as the team battled to a one all draw against 2008 Champions Mathare United at the Nairobi’s Moi Sports Centre Kasarani.

The game against John Kamau’s Posta Rangers will be the 6th for Gor Mahia this season.

The team is 8th on the 18-teams KPL log with 7 points after playing five matches; winning two against Chemelil Sugar and Zoo Kericho, registering a draw against Mathare United and losing two matches against Bandari FC and Kariobangi Sharks respectively.

On the other hand, Posta Rangers is 14th on the log with 6 points after 5 matches. The team has won 2 games and lost the other three.

It is the only team yet to register a draw in the league this season.
