Former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile has pleaded with President Uhuru Kenyatta to consider Ukambani politicians who campaigned for him in 2017 for state appointments.
Speaking at Nguumo Boys Secondary School on Friday, Ndile said it is unfair that they campaigned for Jubilee in a hostile environment and are yet to be considered for state jobs.
Ndile said they feel abandoned and neglected by President Uhuru Kenyatta' s government.
He said they have a right to be considered for state jobs since Jubilee got a sizeable number of votes in Ukambani
"President Kenyatta should remember us for the work we did that saw him get votes in Ukambani in the 2017 general election," Ndile said.
Ndile is among Kamba politicians who campaigned for Jubilee in Ukambani in 2017.
The former MP even folded his TIP TIP party to merge with Jubilee Party.
Last month, President Kenyatta made state appointments that saw some political losers in 2017 general election being awarded positions in state corporations.
