Most of us practice multitasking by trying to accomplish too much at once unaware of the dangers that come with this.
It is capable of negatively affecting your memory and IQ making it harder for you to learn new things. You should complete one task at a time and avoid the negatives caused by multitasking.
1. Reduced productivity
People think that multitasking saves time but it is not true.
Once you multitask you tend to switch from one job to the other, you lose a bit of time and your brain also shifts its gears and you end up wasting a lot of time.
You must give your brain a break after you are done with one task. This will create an opportunity for strategizing and increase productivity.
2. Impaired memory
Multitasking leads to overstimulation of your mind where you end up forgetting important details of one task as you switch to the other one. Your brain will not be sure of which is crucial and is leading to negative results since you haven't done one task at a time.
3.Lack of focus
Too many distractions bring in lack of focus.
You are unable to complete one task before getting into the other one. This requires much time to come back to it, find where you left and recreate your pattern to move on.
