The tough talking MP, who has openly opposed Jubilee administration, blamed Judge Kanyi Kimondo of allegedly being influenced by 'external forces'.

With a pending by-election in his constituency, the MP appealed the ruling along with his Marakwet West counterpart Kangongo Bowen.

Both MPs have been labeled Jubilee rebels and have often accused 'cartels' within government of plotting for their downfall.

Through lawyer Otiende Amollo, Keter argued that Justice Kanyi did not rule based on evidence.

And Appeals Court Judges, through Erastus Githinji, ruled out evidence provided that Keter campaigned beyond the stipulated time.

His victory could ignited rivalry between a section of MPs allied to Ruto and those believed to be rebels.

Moiben MP Silas Tiren led celebrations in the streets of Eldoret Town after the ruling.
