Renowned investigative journalist, Dennis Okari, has for the first time spoken to the media about his fear for his daughter Ivanna after his relationship with television anchor Betty Kyalo imploded publicly.
Mr Okari revealed that he is worried that his former wife is splashing social media with photos of their daughter.
He contends that Ivanna is too young for that and the lack of her consent makes it morally wrong.
The residents of Garissa have been reacting to Okari's revelation.
Here is a sample of what they had to say:
"I think Okari has a point. It is unethical, it is wrong for Betty to post those photos without the consent of their daughter,'' Rege Suda said.
"That is jeopardising the security of their daughter. She should be allowed to mature before her face is put out to the world," Saqd Oman said.
"My prayer is that the two will reach an amicable resolution of their misunderstanding. It is not good for their daughter," Fake Jamal said.
"It breaks my heart that this is playing out in the public. Sad,'' Uge Samoge said.
"This has all the ingredients of a soap opera. We can only spectate," Fatuma Hassan.
