The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) now claims that embattled former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero is worth Sh9 billion.
In papers filed in court in response to a suit by Kidero where he has sued the agency for intimidation, EACC alleges that the former governor has properties and assets estimated at Sh9 billion.
In the documents filed in court, EACC alleges that Kidero has a total of 11 motor vehicles.
The commission also alleges that Kidero has rental apartments amounting to Sh1 Billion along Riara road, rental apartments amounting to Sh1 billion in Muthaiga and another Sh1 billion Yala Towers.
The EACC further claims that the former governor has Sh316 million savings at a local bank.
However, Kidero through his lawyer Tom Ojienda refutes the claims stating that he is only worth Sh1.3 billion and that he is being targeted for his hard-earned wealth.
