If there is one politician who has been caught up in controversies, it has to be Wajir Women Rep Fatuma Gedi.
2018 she hit headlines over her alleged attempts to bribe MPs to shoot down the sugar report.
This year a video, allegedly doctored, appeared to show a woman resembling her in a sexual act.
In the wake of the controversy that the video has triggered, the outspoken legislator has been locked in a battle to rehabilitate her reputation.
To do that, she has lately been involved in acts of charity in Wajir.
About a fortnight ago, she gave goodies to the disabled of Wajir.
"I today graced a medical camp meant for Persons with Disabilities in Wajir town. I managed to distribute wheelchairs, complete crutches and elbow crutches to the most needy amongst them. I'm grateful to govt's of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and UAE for supporting this noble initiative." she tweeted.
Whether her acts of charity will burnish her reputation remains to be seen.
