In the recent weeks, news of attempted assassinations rocked the news headlines with high profile individuals being linked to the criminal incidences.
And even before the dust settles in the matter, another incident occurs again linking a county boss.
These incidents have been booked at the DCI records and so far two governors have been mentioned as key suspects.
1. Governor Ali Korane of Garissa County
He has been adversely mentioned in the attempted assassination of a former county executive Idris Muktar.
It is reported that the former was planning to initiate private prosecutions against the governor over alleged forged certificates from the University of Nairobi.
Several days ago, the governor was booked at the Kilimani police station to record his personal statement over the shooting.
2. Governor Okoth Obado of Migori county
He has been linked to the murder of a university student Sharon Otieno.
It is said the governor had a blossoming relationship with the university beauty before the affair turned sour and thereafter murder.
Governor Obado together with his personal aide Michael Oyamo, have both recorded their statements with the police for allegedly masterminding Sharon Otieno’s murder after she refused to take heed of his advice of having the pregnancy terminated.
