Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s interview on Jeff Koinange Live show on Wednesday last week was cut short because of the family relationships between the family of the Citizen TV management and that of 'the systems persons', Denis Itumbi has claimed.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Itumbi said both the host and county boss made no mistake during the incident but someone behind the scenes forced the interview to end prematurely because of the family ties between the ownership and the unknown individual in the government.

He opined that Jeff had asked a question and Sonko, who is known for his vocal nature, responded accordingly.  The controversial governor had insisted that he was ready to proceed with the interview before it was cut short.

“@MikeSonko was asked a question. He responded with FACTS & RECORDINGS. Absolutely nothing wrong with the question by @KoinangeJeff or the response by Sonko. The interview was most likely stopped because of family relations of Station management & 'The System' person,” Itumbi tweeted.

Jeff was forced to end the show prematurely as he cited quality control requirements of the Royal Media Service as far as such sessions are concerned.

“Due to standards and quality control here at Royal Media Services Governor it looks like we cannot continue with this interview,” he told Sonko.
