According to Mutomo assistant county commissioner Jacob Ouma, the man escaped after stabbing to death his biological daughter this morning.

"I have sent officers at the scene where the man slaughtered his daughter before escaping. Also, he left a suicide note indicating that he has gone to kill himself," Ouma said.

Ouma addressed the press in his office today.

He said the suspect committed the crime after a family brawl.

The administrator said the police are searching every nook and cranny to ensure the man is captured alive before he actualizes his threats.

"It's unacceptable for someone to take the life of his daughter just because he argued with his wife," he added.

Ouma advised residents to avoid taking their lives whenever they are faced with challenges.

He said there are many institutions that can help someone who is going through a crisis in help.

"If suicide was the case, no one would be alive. We must learn to face our challenges and seek help when problems are overwhelming," Ouma said.

The body was moved to Mutomo Hospital's mortuary.
