Police officers in Masinga have arrested a 48-year-old man suspected to have defiled his two nephews.
The man, Joseph Mwanzia allegedly defiled the two girls aged 10 and 12.
According to Masinga police boss Francis Siror, the man has been defiling the 10-year-old girl who lives with him.
Sirir further says the suspect also allegedly defiled the girl's sister aged 12 who lives with his brother when she came to visit her sister.
The two girls lived with their uncles after their mother passed away and their father was sent to prison after he was found in possession of bhang.
"The two girls had no one to care for them after their mum died and dad jailed, so the uncles offered to take care of them," said Siror.
The police boss said the incident was unearthed after the ten-year-old girl told her teacher in Ekalakala primary school.
"The girl told the teacher that her uncle has been disturbing her wanting to defile her again," noted Siror who said that the suspect is in police custody and will appear in court once investigations are done.
The two girls were taken to Matuu Vision Children centre.
