Teddy Mwambire, the Ganze lawmaker has refused to be swayed by the new wave of defection that is about to hit the region which has traditionally supported the former Prime Minister, and has even told off those who are shifting their allegiance to Deputy President William Ruto.

Mwambire who rose from being a member of County Assembly representing Stoke Ward may be headed for a fallout with his Governor Amason Kingi as their political stands seem to clash.

Since the famous March 9 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, Kingi's mode of operation is perhaps a telltale sign that hew could be headed to the exit door with Ruto courting him.

With seven constituencies in the expansive Kilifi County, only Mwambire has given recent Ruto events in the region a wide berth saying that they are political.

Last Saturday, when the DP toured Kisauni, the lawmaker would later hit out at those who attended his function saying that they are not sincere.

The lawmaker who is also a key Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho ally is also Kilifi's Deputy ODM chairman, being the understudy to Kingi.
