Abdullahi termed Mutua's claims as outrageous, noting that the governor should mind his own business.

The top city lawyer said Mutua has no business poking his nose into his affairs.

"Mutua should mind his own business and wait to square it out with his rival on the ballot," Abdullahi twitted.

Abdullahi said it is not Mutua's business even if he was paid Sh25 million or not.

On Friday last week during an interview on Radio Citizen, Mutua questioned Wavinya Ndeti's sources of money.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap Party leader claimed that Ndeti is too broke to afford huge legal fees to pay his top lawyers.

"Wavinya Ndeti should tell us where she is getting the money because some of the lawyers handling her cases cannot take the cases without being paid at least Sh25 Million," he said on Radio Citizen on Friday.

The embattled Machakos governor claimed that proceeds of crime could be being used to fund Ndeti's court cases.

The Court of Appeal nullified Mutua's election on grounds that it was not free and fair.

The appellate court ordered for a fresh gubernatorial poll.

Mutua, however, filed an appeal at the Supreme Court that is pending hearing and determination.

Governor Mutua has exuded confidence that the Supreme Court will reinstate his August 8, 2017 election victory.
