Prophet Dr. David Owuor is among the most followed preachers in Kenya as demonstrated by his power to attract large crowds into his various countrywide crusades.
The 'Mighty Prophet of the Lord' as mainly referred to by his followers has since gone trending on various social media platforms in Kenya after appearing to perform miracles at Nairobi's Central Park on Saturday.
That aside, for many years now several Kenyans have been questioning his source of wealth given that he does not accept any type of offerings from his followers.
The worry has however been put to rest after the preacher in his recent sermon at Jesus is Lord Radio revealed that he doesn't take offerings so as to stop interfering with the intent message he was sent to deliver to the people by God.
"When the Lord uses me as His vessel, and people are healed and cripples walk, what would happen if I asked for offering just after God has healed somebody? People will give everything and do it emotionally. But asking for money, as I do the work of the Lord demeans the message I am trying to pass,” said Prophet.
He further revealed that it was the Lord who called on him to preach the gospel and so does HE wouldn't let him go hungry.
"The Lord told me to serve him, and it is Him, who provides for me. The Lord can never let me go hungry because He is the one who told me to stop everything I am doing and work for him. That’s why I don’t ask for offering from the congregation,” said Owuor.
