Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has slammed those who are determined to thwart Deputy President William Ruto's bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta come 2022.
While hitting out at the DP's critics, Duale who is also the National Assembly Majority leader said that Ruto has no political equals in Kenya and that those underestimating him should be prepared for a huge shock come the next election.
According to Duale, Ruto commands more than 40 percent political following, something which he says gives him an edge in the next political contest.
"The DP is far ahead of the pack. Going by our own internal projections, he is commanding more than 40 percent support across the county, leaving the remaining percentage or more than 10 other aspirants to share. His chances of succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta can only get better," said the vocal lawmaker and a close Ruto ally.
Duale's comment comes at a time 2022 politics have started to gain an unstoppable momentum as political bigwigs ready themselves for a ferocious political contest with both of them keen to outmaneuver each other.
