Families and friends of victims in the Ethiopian Airlines crash will have to wait longer to know the cause of their deaths.
Reports indicate that the airline is planning to compensate the victims of the crash as probe into the incident continues.
Following the reports, Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior has questioned why the airline is yet to reveal the cause of death.
According to the Senator, the Sh 17 million set aside for the compensation will not change the way the families feel about the deaths. He said that the families feel the pain of losing their loved ones and need more attention than money from the government.
“Families have not even seen the remains of loved ones! 17 million is a drop in the ocean. Needless to say, money cannot buy or compensate a life," he tweeted.
This comes after it emerged that the death toll of Kenyans in the crash rose to 36 from 32 which had earlier been reported.
China, America, and Ethiopia have already grounded Boeing 737 Max-8 across the world after the incident.
The aircraft crashed moments after leaving the Addis Ababa Airport. All the passengers and pilot who were on board died following the crash.
Here is the tweet from the Senator.
