City lawyer Steve Mbogo could soon walk smiling from the bank after a court ruled in his favour against controversial Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi.
Mbogo had sued Nyakundi of defamation.
In the ruling, Justice Jacky Kamau ordered the blogger to pull down all articles published about the former Starehe MP aspirant and his wife.
The court also gave an injunction that bars Nyakundi from publishing any other content deemed as defamatory of any magnitude against the politician and his family.
“Remove the articles published in the website, twitter account, and Facebook on November 28, 2018,” read the order in part.
Earlier, the family had sought help from the court against Nyakundi after he ran a series of cheating allegations against Mbogo's wife.
The tycoon family also sought to see Nyakundi pay them Ksh 20 Million as compensation for the defamatory stories.
“The article written by the defendant to the utter prejudice of the plaintiff whose reputation has been and continues to be immensely damaged and have been turned into objects of cyberbullying unless the orders herein are granted, at least in the interim to curtail further dissemination of the defamatory articles written by the respondents against the applicants,” said court papers.
