There is always a question about the perfect age or the right time to get married. Some people have held their thoughts that one should only get married when he or she feels ready to do so.
According to the new study, there is a relationship between the marriage age and divorce.
The new research by the University of Utah has found out that fewer couples who get married between the age of 28 and 32 divorces in the years that follow.
Led by the Sociologist Nick Wolfinger, the researchers analyzed data from the year of 2006 to 2010 and 2011 to 2013 in the National Survey of Family Growth.
In their findings, the perfect age to get married was between the age of 28 and 32. According to them, marrying at this age bracket will make most marriages successful.
The study also found out that for every year after 45 years that the marriage begins, the chances of divorce increases by five percent.
“The kinds of people who wait till their 30s to get married may be the kinds of people who aren’t predisposed toward doing well in their marriages...[and] people who marry later face a pool of potential spouses that has been winnowed down to exclude the individuals most predisposed to succeed at matrimony,” read the study as quoted by the Independent.
