For the last few weeks, Binti Guliye has been trending online, thanks to her campaign to raise Sh3 million medical funds for Baby Nasra suffering from a complex heart problem. 

Here are three facts you probably didn't know about her;

1. Born, raised in Mandera

Binti Guliye was born and raised in Mandera county. She undertook her high school studies at the Moi Girls' Secondary school, Mandera before proceeding for higher studies in a medical field. Despite being Mandera local, she has served almost all the pastoral counties in her assignments as a volunteer.

2. Trained clinical nutritionist

Binti Guliye is a professionally trained clinical nutritionist. From April 30, 2007, to February 2, 2010, she worked with Doctors without borders/MSF as a health care service provider.

3. Social media influencer

In her charity work, Binti Guliye majorly takes advantage of her position as social media influencer to raise funds. Through her online campaigns, she has managed to raise millions as well as getting recognition by the top political leadership in the country. Barely two weeks ago, Garissa Township MP Adan Duale publicly recognized her role as a volunteer.
