Don’t get me wrong, I am not a male chauvinist nor some kind of a sadist to celebrate when people get hurt, no as a journalist, I looked at that ending from a different perspective as far as the boy child-slay queen “war” is concerned. Look, Otile dumping Vera before the opposite happened was a smart move and something worth noting.
Remember when these guys were starting, apparently, everyone became a prophet, Kenyans said: “mtaachana tu” (you will just part), see it came to pass, how I wish the same Kenyans prophesied the same about corruption. Anyway, the boy child is a winner because for a very long time, slay queens have been seen as having an upper hand, apparently, Otile has proven otherwise.
The boy child can also celebrate in the sense that, have you ever noticed how these slay queens behave when you text them via WhatsApp? They behave as if they are the only surviving species to save mankind, she will not open your text for hours but she will be online, when she eventually opens the text she will reply two days later and says “Sorry I was cooking” or some other funny excuses, so Otile’s win is our win.
In her long post, Vera said that “I turned down Presidents and Governors to be with him.” Still, the boy child walked away. If there is any guy who had lost hope in winning the heart of high riding lady who has acquired respect and resources, it means that there hope had been restored that the power to achieve anything lay within their minds.
