We often find ourselves apologising for things that do not even require an apology.
Surprisingly enough, it has become a norm for people to apologise unconsciously for things they are not supposed to be sorry about.
Here are five things you should quit apologising for.
1. Your appearance
Under no circumstances should you ever apologise for how you look. If you are chubby or skinny, make no apologies for it. Love yourself regardless. What matters is how you feel about yourself.
Rock that mohawk or that bald look if that is what makes you happy. Rock your style unapologetically.
2. Alone time
Everyone needs some alone time some more than others. Never apologise for wanting some solitude. It is very much okay. Have as much alone time as you need and make no apologies for it.
3. Delay in responding to a text or call
It's 2019 we seriously shouldn't even be talking about such. Everyone is so busy trying to make something of their lives only to get pestered over such a small issue as delaying to respond to a text or call. Smh!
Do not apologise for that. Scratch that. Don't even think about apologising unless it was really urgent in which case I'm assuming you'd know.
4. Saying no to a hangout
If you are the type of person that guilts a friend for bailing out on a hangout then you are really terrible.
People go through a lot as it is, now when someone turns down a request to hangout be a darling and don't make a fuss over it.
Turning down a hangout is totally okay and is nothing to be sorry about.
5. Your feelings
Never apologise for your feelings. You don't have to apologise for loving too deeply or getting angry so fast.
Everyone is different in their own way and just because one person can walk away quietly when angry doesn't mean the other is not allowed to lash out or rant altogether.
