Legislators unhappy with sailing of Finance Bill in parliament have vowed to move to court over 'rigging'.
Vincent Kemosi (West Mugirango), Simba Arati (Dagoretti North) and Jerusha Momanyi (Nyamira) said the move will rescue Kenyans from the 'draconian' bill.
"We have several options but before we even take stiff measures, we shall move to court urgently," said Kemosi.
Arati added: "Uhuru cannot bully MPs. We have the will of the people and certainly, we shall challenge the shameful events in the assembly at the court."
Mrs. Momanyi warned that stiff actions such as sacking the speaker and house leadership were also 'viable options'.
"We have other options such as sacking the speaker. We can't allow government to rig the will of the people through him."
MPs opposed to the bill claimed victory even though speaker Justin Muturi pronounced otherwise.
Initially, temporary speaker Soipan Tuya had given opposing team victory before changing her mind under unclear circumstances.
This means Kenyans will now have to live with 8% VAT increase on petroleum products.
