A suspected burglar was on Sunday, August 19 lynched by an angry mob after he was busted inside a church.
The man allegedly broke into a church in Ndaragwa area and stole sadaka. He was, however, blinded by a wine he stumbled on and gulped it with greed.
He became so tipsy that he forgot to run away after his mission.
In the early morning, people heard a commotion in the church and decided to check what was happening.
They found the man crawling around as he threw words telling off the church chairs 'for joking with him'.
"He took too much wine as he went on piling up what to run away with. Interesting, he became drunk and could not walk away," John Kimiri said.
A church member said the incident was a 'God's miracle'
"Now those who say there are no miracles should see this. God wanted to give away the thief for trying to steal from His house," Mary Nyambura said.
The body of the deceased was taken to the mortuary.
