Speaking to the Standard newspaper, the county boss said Jubilee leaders must wait for the right time for politics.

“The big four agenda is not achievable with the rampant corruption. Jubilee leaders must realign themselves with efforts towards the president’s vision for the country. Any idea that goes against the big four agenda is founded on a wrong path,” Kinyanjui said.

He said though it is normal for politicians to have political dreams, the debate on President Kenyatta’s succession politics will be an obstacle to development.

“What we are witnessing in Jubilee is normal. Each and every politician has interests but we need to manage those interests for the good of the country,” the governor said.

"Jubilee Party is not on a crisis as many would want us to believe. Leaders with ambitions must understand that the best way to campaign for 2022 is through the achievement of the big four agenda, the era of promises will be outdated,” he added.

Deputy President William Ruto has been crisscrossing the country drumming up support for his 2022 presidential bid.

The allies have also asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to declare whether he will support his deputy in 2022.
