Former Nairobi University Vice Chancellor Prof. George Magoha has revealed that he is worth Sh.250 million.

 Speaking during the parliamentary committee on Tuesday, Magoha revealed that he has several sources of income.

 He highlighted rental houses, treasury bills, Safaricom mast and fixed cash deposits among the sources of his wealth.

 Magoha, who has been approved to take over the education docket, started working in 1988 when he was employed as a lecturer in the Department of Surgery, at the University of Nairobi. 

His commitment and hard work saw him promoted to a Senior Lecturer in the same office. 

He was later promoted to an Associate Professor, His nomination was approved by the Speaker Justin Muturi-led committee.

 The committee revealed that he had proven beyond doubt that he was suited for the post. 

The committee, which is expected to table the report on parliament following his vetting, revealed that he has been working without any form of favor. 

“He has also not been adversely associated with practices that depict bias, favoritism or nepotism in the discharge of public duties,”he said.

Magoha was appointed after President Uhuru Kenyatta re-organized the cabinet. Uhuru fired Sports CS Rashid Echesa and replaced him with Education CS Amina Mohammed.millions.
