Kisii County commissioner Godfrey Kigochi has fired warning shots at rogue Boda boda riders.
Kigochi while speaking on Wednesday at Gusii Stadium during the Jamhuri Day Celebration said he has received information from members of the public that some riders are thieves.
"I have been receiving complains about some riders more especially those operating at night that they are robbing clients. I wish to confirm that probe is ongoing and anyone who will be caught shall face the law," he said.
He warned local youths against engaging in crime saying everyone must work and eat his or her sweat.
Kigochi urged the public not to fear to report any rogue Boda boda rider to police for legal actions to be taken.
"Criminals must be flushed out from the county. We don't want a situation where one pretends to be a Boda boda rider during the day but at night he is a thief robbing people," he added.
He assured that Kisii residents will enjoy tight security during the Christmas celebrations.
"We have enough officers to offer tight security during the Christmas celebration. Criminals are advised to keep off or surrender before the law catches up with them," he stated.
