There was drama at Ekerema village in Nyaribari Masaba, Kisii County after a woman bit his brother's lips on Thursday evening.
Witnesses said trouble started when the suspect, Emma Nyakara arrived home from the market and found her brother, Isaiah Ogeto eating her ripe bananas.
"Nyakara arrived home from Daraja Mbili market where she sells ripe bananas and found Ogeto eating them (bananas). She picked a quarrel with him but Ogeto answered rudely threatening to kill her. Nyakara got angry jumped at him and bite his lips," said a neighbor, Walter Ongeri.
Mr Ongeri said the victim screamed for help from villagers who arrived and found him lying down bleeding from the bite.
Area assistant chief, Peter Onduso confirmed the incident and said this was not the first time the two were fighting.
Onduso lauded neighbors who responded to the victim's screams and took him to Nyamache sub-county hospital for treatment.
