Renowned human rights activist Boniface Mwangi on Thursday launched an attack on the US Ambassador to Kenya Kyle McCarter for posting a picture with school kids in uniform.
The school kids were allegedly denied a visa to America.
"Learned friends, can this two (sic) kids sue @USAmbKenya for using their image for retweets. @USEmbassyKenya denied them a visa but the ambassador saw it fit to misuse them for his personal glory," he said in a tweet.
However, city lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi differed with Mwangi's statement stating that McCarter has no say in matters of the issuance of Visa's.
"What personal glory? The Ambassador has NO say such matter but was decent enough to say "pole" to the kids and give them a fatherly hug," he replied.
Ambassador McCarter had posted a picture with kids who had been denied a visa to the US. He revealed that he was happy to meet them terming them as the future of Kenya.
"In the visa line yesterday, I met this fine young boy and girl. They are Kenya Chess Champions! Although a trip to the US was not possible this time, I reminded them that They Are Champions & we are friends! This is the future of Kenya. #USAmarafiki," he said.
