The Kenya Meteorological Department said some parts of Garissa, Wajir and Isiolo counties are likely to experience near average rainfall.

Acting director Stella Aura in a statement said the expected rains will improve agricultural activities and improve pasture for livestock.

“The November rainfall will expect to improve pasture for livestock over most pastoral areas of the country such as North Eastern, North Western, Central, Southern Rift Valley and South Eastern,” read the notice.

Other counties to receive average rainfall include several parts of the coastal strip, including Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, Tana River and some parts of Kitui.

Highlands West of Rift Valley, Lake Victoria basin, central Rift Valley, highlands East of the Rift Valley and Nairobi are like to receive enhanced rainfall this month.

These counties that will receive enhanced rainfall include Kisumu, Kisii, Busia, Kitale, Kericho, Nandi, Eldoret, Kakamega, Nakuru, Narok, Naivasha, Nyeri, Murang'a, Kiambu, Embu, and Meru.

“These rains are expected to cause flash floods in isolated areas. Areas prone to flooding such as Budalang’I, Kano plains, Western Central and Rift Valley might experience floods and landslides,” warned the weatherman.
