Nowadays, almost everything is getting done using computers, this can be by sending emails, typing documents, video call and browsing the internet among others.
These machines can become slow and disappoint when the work to be done is urgently needed.
To fix this and avoid embarrassment use these tips:
1. Reboot your computer
This is restarting the computer once you notice it is getting slow. It can be caused by the software you have installed recently or an internet connection. Switch off your computer and wait for 5-10seconds then turn it on once again.
2. Delete the temporary files
These files are stored in the computers' hard drive. Deleting them will improve the computer's performance. Ensure you close all folders before you delete them since the ones in open folders will be skipped and not deleted. Ensure also that your hard drive has enough space of up to 500MB to create space for the swap files.
3. Run a scan for viruses and malware
Your computer's performance could result from infection by viruses and running scan for the virus will remove them. Slow performance could also be due to malware. Ensure your computer is installed with an active virus scanner and always scan for malware to boost its performance.
