Former Starehe MP aspirant Boniface Mwangi on Thursday met one of Ugandan President Yoweri Musevani's harshest critics in Nairobi.
Dr Stella Nyanzi who was sacked at Kampala-based Makerere University as a lecturer following her constant criticism of Uganda's First Family has been in Nairobi where she met a group of women feminists drawn from East Africa where they discussed issues that affect women in today's digital and fast-growing world.
"I had the honour of having dinner with Dr Stella Nyanzi last week. She is a super dope human being! She also has a wicked sense of humour. We laughed the entire evening," Mwangi said in a tweet on Thursday morning.
It is not yet clear why Mwangi met the Ugandan don taking into account the fact that the event Nyanzi was attending was exclusively for women.
The two are known human rights activists and have on several occasions been arrested and detained while championing for individual human rights as well in defense of the Constitution.
Nyanzi is currently at loggerheads with Ugandan authorities following her planned protest in Kampala on June 30, to champion for women rights. She has invited Uganda's First Lady Janet Museveni for the match despite the two being rivals.
Mwangi on the hand has been facing the wrath of the Kenya police who during his last protest at Uhuru Park Nairobi clobbered him as he agitated for justice for people allegedly shot dead by the police during the Post Election Chaos that rocked Kenya after the disputed August 8 general election.
