Suspected Al Shabaab members have killed a police officer and abducted two Cuban doctors.

The incident has occurred at Mandela town. 

The incident occurred at around 9 am on Friday.

According to witness accounts, armed militia blocked a car transporting the doctors to work before opening fire on the officers.

The officer died instantly while his colleague managed to escape the attack, Daily Nation reports.
