Aden says that the 2010 law must be amended to allow for quality among Kenyans.

He argues that some sections of the 2010 constitution have created inequalities and discrimination especially on matters leadership and governance.

The former ODM MP further says that the constitution has to be changed to address the rising wage Bill.

He says that there is a need to relook into the relevance of some elective and nominated seats.

“Kenyans are over-represented, a situation that has seen the wage bill go up,” he said on Saturday.

Raila is pushing for a constitutional amendment which he says is unstoppable.

The former prime minister says that the Building Bridges Committee that came into place after his March 9 handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta will start collecting Kenyans views on the referendum.

A section of politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto among them Garissa Township MP Aden Duale is opposing the referendum push.

Duale accuses Raila of trying to use the referendum to allegedly lock DP Ruto out of the 2022 presidential election.

The vocal MP says that he will fight Raila’s push to amend the 2010 constitution.
