A former MCA aspirant in Kisii County has said he is fully supporting the return of flamboyant business Don Bosco Gichana back home after languishing in Tanzanian jail for close to six years.
Thomas Nyangaresi who unsuccessfully vied for the Bomariba ward MCA seat during the last year's polls on ANC party ticket on Wednesday said Mr. Gichana is welcome back home.
"I am part of those supporting Mr. Gichana's return. Those opposed to his homecoming event which will take place at Gusii Stadium on Friday, October 26, 2018 should plan to remain indoors for us to celebrate his return," said Nyangaresi.
The vocal politician cited that the reason he is supporting Gichana 'historic' return is that he, Gichana, was detained in Tanzania without fair trial.
"I feel the pain Mr. Gichana underwent while in prison in Tanzania. He is the son of the soil and I don't see the reason why some egocentric leaders should oppose his return," he added.
Mr. Nyangaresi assured that he will mobilize more youths from Bomariba to attend Gichana homecoming event at Gusii stadium.
"I am ongoing mobilizing more youths, especially from Bomariba to attend the event. Anyone willing to cause trouble will get it rough because the event is not illegal," he noted.
