People do this for various reasons. However, having your sex tapes shared on social media without your consent is illegal and punishable by the law.

Various people in Kenya including leaders have gone through this shame of having their sex tapes shared online.

Recently, former Auntie Boss actress Nice Wanjeri popularly known as Shiro came out to disown a sex tape going rounds on social media.

However, there are many things you are required to do when this happens.

Here are three things to do when your sex tape is shared online:

1. Contact the police

Contact the police when someone shares you explicit videos online. This is illegal and will help the police look for the person who shared it to face the law.

This is the first action to take that will help others refrain from doing this.

2. Contact the site

Contact the site that your explicit videos were shared.

This will help in pulling them down easily. More so, mention to the site administrators that you have reported the same case to the police.

3. Talk about it

Having your explicit videos shared online is very shameful.

This will damage your image among friends, family members and even workmates that might make you cry.

Talk to someone who can help you deal with these hard moments to get over them easily. There are some organizations that help victims of sex tape leaks.
