As Nakuru grows, earning itself such monikers as Sin City and Nax Vegas, the young generation is becoming an interesting lot of people.
As is the case with any other town, here is how the youths are finding a swag.
Here is how to do it.
1. Those who walk with cameras
Most of these are campus students and social media lovers who divide their time into two parts, one for school and the remainder for photoshoots and social media.
You will always find them in the CBD every Sunday taking photos to update their 'fake lives' on Facebook and WhatsApp.
Most are fellas who still live with parents as otherwise, they would have a reason to spend the photoshoot time working to pay their bills.
2. Ballers and Cigma youth
This is the type that spends most of their time hopping from one shopping complex to the other, from Cigma, to Shoppers Paradise and then to Biashara Center.
They never do anything meaningful except flirting and wasting their time in Play Station dens and tattoo parlours clad in the latest pair of Yeezys and Caterpillar clarks.
These are children of the rich and fakers who try to live a life they think they deserve but end up wasting themselves as they never do anything meaningful with their lives.
Most don't go to school as they blow their entire day hugging and showing off.
3. Dirty and rugged mjengo guys
You will always see them hanging around construction sites hoping to get a chance to work for the day.
I was once in this group, immediately after high school.
These are great guys and though overlooked, they are the people taking Nakuru to the next level.
The same goes for 'their colleagues' who wake up early in the morning to hang around Gilani's Supermarket and Flamco awaiting possible hiring of the day.
