The mass examination failure at the Kenya School of Law has continued eliciting mixed reactions from stakeholders in the education sector.
Members of Parliament (MPs) have now summoned Attorney General(AG) Kihara Kariuki to present himself before the legal affairs committee next week, to shed more light on the issue.
The lawmakers also want the AG to present them with the findings of a taskforce, established to probe the causes of mass failure at the institution.
Led by Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa, the legislators have also put to task Council for Legal Education (CLE) to explain why the students posted such poor results.
“The students come to the school after passing in their various universities. You can lower the pass mark if the performance is poor,” said Wamalwa as quoted by Daily Nation.
The MPs have questioned why more than 85 percent of the students failed yet they passed their graduate examinations.
The lawmakers lamented that there are likely to be loopholes in the legal education sector.
