Mutua is a man who believes in himself and also in delivering the best for Machakos residents.

He on Friday made changes to his cabinet citing his commitment to ensuring improved service delivery.

The governor appointed Dr. Nduku Mutua as the county's CEC for Tourism, Sports and Culture. He nominated Dr. Ancent Kituku Nzyoka for the Health and Emergency services CEC position awaiting his approval by the county assembly.

Other nominees include Dr. Jack’s Nthanga, Office of the County Secretary, special program and project, Dr. Joel Paul Mwova Office Ag Chief Officer, Medical Services and CEC Victor Mwalakha Muniafu as Ag Chief Officer, Tourism.

The appointments come after the then county's Tourism CEC Faith Syokau Wathome's resigned.

In her resignation, Mrs. Wathome cited health reasons.

While accepting his resignation, Mutua wished her well.

“I have today accepted the resignation of Hon. Faith Syokau Wathome as Minister for Tourism, Sports, and Culture in my government. She requested me to relieve her of the duties due to personal issues touching her health. Even though my government wishes her to continue serving in my government due to her exemplary service, I respect her wish and hence my decision to accept her request,”  Mutua said.
