President Uhuru Kenyatta has said the fight against corruption will not end soon.
The Commander in Chief who was speaking on Sunday at the Faith Evangelistic Ministries in Karen Nairobi during a prayer session said he is committed to leaving a good record in fighting graft when his term ends in 2022.
In a new turn of events, he ordered the youth to take responsibility and arrest corrupt MPs and present them to the police.
"For the youth, this fight should include you," he said.
"Don't spare anyone, be it an MCA, your father or MP. If they are corrupt, arrest them and present them to the police. You have my support."
It will, however, remain a riddle to crack whether youth will manage to fight graft as the responsibility of nabbing corrupt individuals remains in the hands of investigative agencies including the police and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
The fight against graft has picked momentum with high profile individuals being arrested and detained before being arraigned in court.
The latest to be arrested is Kenya Railways Managing Director Atanas Maina alongside National Land Commission Chairman Muhammad Swazuri.
Former Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero was also arrested last week over claims of mismanaging public funds when he was Nairobi County chief.
