Former senator Kennedy Mong'are has publicly opposed ODM party leader Raila Odinga's referendum calls.
Speaking on Tuesday in Nyamira, Mong'are said Raila's timing on referendum is poor.
"Raila lost Presidency last year and now that he is ageing. I am not part of those supporting his referendum calls," he said.
The vocal politician urged Raila to retire from active politics given his enormous contribution to Kenya.
Mong'are maintained that even if the referendum will be held in favor of the former Prime Minister, he can't win Presidency.
"Raila has lost Presidency three times. I don't see reasons to continue pushing for amendments" he said.
He urged elected leaders to focus on service delivery instead of engaging in endless politicking.
"Gusii leaders must shun Raila and support another person in the 2022 elections," he added.
