Four people have been charged with murder in Matungulu, Machakos County.
John Musyoki, Tabitha Wandia, Morris Musyoki, and Antony Musyoki were charged with killing an 80-year-old man in Ngonda Village, Matungulu sub-county.
The lot was arraigned in Kangundo Law Courts on Thursday.
The accused persons who appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Desderious Orimba denied the charges levelled against them.
According to the prosecution, the four committed the act on the night of Tuesday, September 18, 2018.
The prosecution stated that the suspects cooperated in murdering Peter Ndunda Masyuko, a senior citizen.
However, the court directed that the four be remanded at KBC police station for ten days until investigations are over.
This is after the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Department, Matungulu sub-county asked the court for more time to conduct investigations on the murder.
Peter Masyuko was brutally murdered in his home on the fateful night.
His lifeless body was discovered lying on the floor the following morning by his house help.
It is said his perpetrators attacked him with a panga since his body had deep cut wounds on the head.
