Speaking on AM Live show on NTV Friday morning, the commentator faulted Uhuru for refusing to fire some of his Cabinet Secretaries(CSs) implicated in corruption.

He noted that Uhuru missed a golden chance to recapture the confidence of Kenyans for himself and his government, at a time when the situation seems to be getting out of hand.

Manyora noted that Kenyans were eagerly waiting to hear Uhuru either sack or direct all or a section of his CSs and Principal Secretaries (PSs) but the opportunity was wasted.

"Nothing will restore hopes among Kenyans, and that opportunity was lost yesterday, that the President directing all his Cabinet and Principal Secretaries to resign," he said.

He added that the President let go the best opportunity to give the nation a better service team, at a time when the current one seems stained with claims of corruption.

"Nothing would make Kenyans happy than hearing the president say that in a week I will give you a new government that will serve you. This opportunity was lost," he added.

However, in his speech, Uhuru admitted being under pressure to fire people, but noted that it will only be done through due diligence and not out of mere suspicion.
