Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has blasted individuals, Human Rights groups for opposing the Huduma Namba registration which kicked off on Tuesday.
Speaking while launching the rollout in Ihura stadium, Murang'a County alongside Murang'a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria, Kalonzo said he takes pity with those purporting to oppose the exercise by running to court.
"We have been in opposition for 10 years and we hear some people have rushed to court. To do what?" he wondered.
In a live broadcasting by KBC, the former Vice President said Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula, Johnston Muthama, Musalia Mudavadi and him are the experts of opposition in the country but they support fully the government on the Huduma Namba.
"Naskia Kuna ndugu wengine wameenda kwa Mahakama kupinga (I hear some of our brothers have gone to court to oppose),
"Nataka nikuulize, wenye ujuzi wa upinzani Kenya hii mmoja yuko hapa, mwingine Mombasa, mwingine Kajiado (I want to ask, those with opposition experience are here, other in Mombasa and Kajiado)," he reiterated.
He posited that those opposing the noble course by the government will be in dire trouble as they will have no substantive support since the political heavyweights support the initiative.
"Sasa unaanza kupinga Huduma namba na hao wenyewe wanasema hatupingi. Hao wapinzani watakua na shida kubwa sana,(You start opposing Huduma Namba yet the chief opposition we don't oppose. Those new oppositions will have a very big problem)" noted Kalonzo.
A group of human Rights activist including the Kenya National Human Rights Commission (KNHRC) had gone to oppose the government move collect citizens DNA data and GPS coordinates as it contravenes the fundamental rights as enshrined in law.
