A Member of County Assembly in Kisii County has defended his track record, two years after he was re-elected.
Bomariba Ward MCA Protus Moindi noted that he has brought development to the ward, citing the Bigogo-Miranga and Kasarani-Nyamagundo-Kenyorora roads which have been murramed.
"I am committed to easing transportation within Bomariba Ward. Several road projects are lined up to be upgraded in the next financial year," he said on Friday during an exclusive interview.
The former Kisii County Assembly Majority Leader assured residents that he is working closely with Kisii County boss James Ongwae to ensure more development funds are allocated to the ward.
Moindi hit out at his rivals, saying that they should respect him and stop criticising his leadership.
He noted that despite the criticism he is getting from opponents, he will not fail to deliver to the people of Bomariba.
"No one is going to stop me from developing Bomariba. Opponents should not be jealous because their time will also come," he stated.
Moindi was successfully re-elected during the August 8, 2017 polls. He is a member of the Raila Odinga-led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party.
He worked as a primary school teacher before joining politics.
