Taking to her Twitter account on Thursday, Ndeti condemned the MP for assaulting a woman

"Hon Rashid Amin, no decent man lays his hand on a woman. Shame, shame on you !!!!!. Don't you have a mother, sister, grandmother, auntie etc. Utatia akili, utakoma ubishi. Men are supposed to love, protect and guide. Take your position in the Bible and Qur'an. Respect is paramount and is two way," she said in part of the tweet.

The former Kathiani Member of Parliament is among various women leaders who have come out to openly rebuke Kassim's act.

Gedi was allegedly assaulted at Parliament’s parking lot on her way to Protection House for a committee meeting. She was confronted by the MP who accused her of leaving out his constituency during the budget allocation.

Speaking to after the incidence, the Woman Rep claimed Kassim punched her on the face twice leaving her bleeding.

“I was just walking with my colleague Ms Wanga when he accosted me and started calling me stupid and within minutes he punched me on the cheek,” Gedi was quoted by Daily Nation.

“I told him that Wajir County was only allocated Sh100 million and we had to allocate money to only areas of priority to the region like water and roads but he told me that was nonsense,” she added.
