Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili popularly known as Babu Owino is in a better place to clinch the 2022 Nairobi gubernatorial race ahead.
The vocal legislator has won the hearts of Nairobians ever since being the Students Organisation of the Nairobi University (SONU) chairman for fighting for the rights of students and residents.
He has on various occasions come out to help residents in Embakasi and Nairobi as a whole.
Babu has also been on the forefront for fighting various mishaps in the government. He questioned the JKIA ownership saga.
Recently, he promised to fight for the truth about the murder of Dandora human rights activist Caroline Mwatha whom the police claimed died due to a botched abortion.
Being a number one supporter of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Raila Odinga who has a lot of supporters within Nairobi, he stands to gain a lot.
Supporting the AU representative puts him at a better place to benefit from his (Raila’s) supporters.
Babu Owino, being a youthful leader, will also benefit a lot from the support of youths around Nairobi.
However, this doesn’t mean that the flashy politician will have an easy walk to this top seat.
The odds are that he will probably be a biggest contestant if he plays his political games well.
