There was drama at Skynest Hotel in Kitale after a politician’s son abandoned his lover at the facility with unpaid bills.
According to the Saturday Nation, Collins Moi, the grandson of retired President Daniel Moi, checked into the hotel on December 29, 2018, accompanied by his lover for birthday celebrations.
The two, a couple of friends, indulged in merry-making as they sampled the popular shots of drinks and expensive delicacies until the bill hit to Sh100, 000 in several days.
Unable to raise the money, Moi sneaked out of the facility and left his lover to ‘chonga viazi’.
Collins is reportedly the son of Jonathan Moi.
Efforts by the lover, identified as Marsha Amario, and the hotel’s management to reach Collins were futile.
This forced the management to call in police on Thursday, January,10 2019 who arrested the girlfriend.
She was taken to Kitale police station where she was held overnight until Friday morning when ‘the Moi family intervened and promised to clear the bill’.
