State House secretary digital in the communications department, Dennis Itumbi, has been trolled online after sharing a mockery photo of ODM boss Raila Odinga.

The photo was in reference to the ongoing fake gold scandal. Deputy President William Ruto has asked Itumbi to come clean about his role in the scandal that threatens Kenya's relations with the United Arab Emirates.

In the photo which he tweeted, Itumbi captioned it "Goldinga" in gold colours and then it was accompanied by a photo of the opposition leader.

The photo did not sit very well with a section of Kenyans on Twitter. They opined that Itumbi was stooping so low, arguing that he was was a public officer who is expected to be neutral.

"This is unacceptable conduct from an official who is paid from public coffers, political persuasion notwithstanding," Sam Chempkwony said in a tweet.

Others said that Itumbi was a gun for hire, arguing that he was doing so to please his 'masters'.

"Itumbi is a gun for hire, Depression will kill Tangatanga," Kiprotich Peter stated.
