Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo now wants the debate about Deputy President William Ruto's integrity put to rest.
Ruto has been facing graft allegations for years, thanks to attacks from his critics from both the opposition and the ruling Jubilee Party.
Speaking on Tuesday, Kabogo stressed on the need for President Uhuru Kenyatta to settle the matter and bring the issue to rest.
He urged Uhuru to facilitate Ruto's arrest if he indeed is corrupt and protect him from attacks if not, to save the nation from the unending bickering from politicians.
"You can't say there is corruption and we are dealing with it and your principal deputy says there is no corruption. If he (Ruto) is corrupt arrest him and if not, protect him," he said.
Kabogo who was speaking on Citizen TV's News Night on Tuesday said that he is ready to do the hard part of arresting the DP in the instance that the authorities fear him.
He said that with a nod from the relevant authorities, he can nab Ruto and present him for prosecution in two hours.
"I've volunteered, if you cannot deal with him, just give me that job for two hours. I will go for him, arrest him, take him to court and the story ends there," Kabogo said.
The remarks come at a time when Uhuru has vowed to give his all towards ensuring that corruption is a matter of the last in Kenya.
